March 20-21 145th Anniversary of the Battle of Bentonville

APRIL 23, 24 & 25 2010= Buchanan Civil War History Weekend – Buchanan, VA
Registration: A nonrefundable flat fee of $5.00 will be charged for each individual, and a $25 Fee for each Vendor or Sutler who pre-registers before March 19, 2010. A $10 fee will be charged to each individual, and a $35 Fee will be charged to each vendor or settler who register after that date and applications will be accepted until April 1, 2010. Any walk-on participants will be charged $10.00 per person. on April 23-25 2010. Make checks payable
to: Town of Buchanan, Special Events Committee. ALL FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE.

Oct 1&2 - 20th Encampment and Living History at Laurel Hill, Arrat, VA
The JEB Stuart Trust along with the 1st Regiment Kentucky Vol. Co E and 24th Virginia Infantry invite you to attend the 20th Annual Living History and Reenactment at Laurel Hill. Activities include Saturday night dance, music, lectures, Sunday morning church service, and military demonstrations. Amenities include firewood, straw, and water. Confederate and civilian registration is $8 with children 12 and under free. Registration deadline is August 1st. The registration after August 1st and walk-ons is $10. This year’s event will build on the improvement from last year, which resulted in one of the most successful reenactments in the event’s history. A $25 bounty will be paid for the first 4 Federal infantry companies with 20 men. Bounties paid to the first 10 cannons. Battles to be determined. Oct 16 - Oct 17 146th Anniversary Reenactment of Battle of Cedar Creek on the original fields in Middletown. Registration $20 by Aug. 23, $25 after, walk-ons $30. Artillery limited to 20 full-scale guns each side. Proceeds benefit preservation & interpretation of Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation. Sponsored by Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation. |
